Jesus Has Compassion

Jesus Has Compassion

Compassion is when you become sympathetically conscious of the distress of others with a desire to alleviate their suffering. Sometimes we feel compassion for someone but because of our human limitations there is nothing that we can do to relieve their affliction. The word of God in Matthew 14:14 tells us that Jesus has compassion for mankind. However, Jesus has more than the desire He is able to heal our sickness to remove our suffering and fulfill our needs.

On one particular occasion the people had come looking for Jesus because they were sick and wanted Him to heal them. The scripture didn’t say if they were physically sick or spiritually sick or if they had confusion in their minds or lacked creature comforts it just says that they were sick. In other words there was something wrong with them. They had problems and Jesus was concerned about them. Jesus knew that there was sickness among them and Jesus was moved to compassion by their affliction.

Exo 3:14 says that God told Moses go and tell the people that I AM sent you
I AM wants you to know today that He is whatever you need He is still the same I AM that He was thousands of years ago.. He wants you to know if you are sick I Am is a doctor in the sick room. If you are hungry I Am is still the bread of life. If you are thirsty I Am is living water. If you are tired I Am is a rock in a weary land. If you need shelter I Am is a refuge in the middle of a storm. If you need finances I Am is the one who gives you the power to get wealth. Maybe you just need to get away I AM is a secret place.

God is I Am that I Am and I AM is still whatever you need.
Give Him Praise!

Tongues On Fire

Tongues On Fire

The word of God has a lot to say to us about the tongue. The word says that the power of life and death is in our tongue. Although our tongues are powerful little members in our body we should also know that the tongue is like a fire that has the power to defile your entire body. We must be aware that the Book of James says that the tongue is unruly, evil, full of deadly poison and difficult to tame. The word of God says if a man says that he is righteous and cannot bridle his tongue that man is not righteous and only deceives himself.
The word also tells us that we have to watch our tongues and we have to watch the tongues of others as it relates to us. The word of God warns us about false lips and naughty tongues. The word also speaks to us about tongues that deceive and tongues that flatter. We get instructions about tongues that come out against us. The Bible says that tongues that rise up against us in judgment should be condemned.
The word says if we love life that we should resist using our tongues to do evil. Refrain from using our tongues for murmuring and complaining as the children of Israel did in the wilderness. We should never use our tongues to deceive someone but we are to let our yes be yes and our no be no. We are to use our tongues to speak kindness and say things that bring glory to God. Give your testimony, talk about the goodness of God. Tell somebody how good God has been to you. Sing Psalms and hymns that praise God.

Finally…you can use that same tongue that you use to rebuke the devil to plead the blood of Jesus over everything that concerns you. Pray and call on God. Use your tongue to call things that be not as though they are. Thank God. Speak blessings rather than cursing, claim every promise and declare to the world… My God how great you are!!

God gives the best Gifts

God gives the best Gifts

Christmas is a time of giving and receiving gifts but
Isn’t it just like God to gift you exceedingly abundantly above all you can ask or think?
Isn’t it just like Him to continue to gift you although He gifted you many years ago?
Isn’t it just like God to love us so much that He sent the best gift, Jesus His only begotten Son?
Isn’t it just like God to give forgiveness when we stumble and fall short?
Isn’t it just like GOD to give order to your footsteps so you don’t falter and get out of place?
Isn’t it just like God to forgive us our sins not because we deserve it but He said if we asked our sin would be wiped clean without even a trace?
Isn’t it just like God to give us mercy and grace?
Isn’t it just like God to give us Jesus who knew no sin to die in our place?
Isn’t it just like God to give us a Comforter to dwell with us and in us and guide us along the way?
Lord you gave us Christmas to celebrate the arrival of your Son
You already gave us the best gift.
Jesus the Light of the World!

Let’s Make Christmas More Like Christmas

Let’s Make Christmas More Like Christmas

This year let’s make Christmas more like Christmas. Start the day with praise and worship instead of opening gifts. Thank God for all that He has given you and all the things that He has done. Thank Him for never leaving or forsaking you and remaining always at your side. Tell Him you know how much He loves you because He sacrificed His only Begotten Son. Focus on your value and how much your life is worth acknowledge that in your place was sacrificed the life of a King.
Let’s make Christmas more like Christmas. Celebrating the time when God prepared a body and sent Jesus to the earth. Not the Holidays or Xmas, decorating trees, buying gifts or shopping in the mall. Not eating and drinking hot chocolate, egg nog, sweets and delicacies and all sorts of good things. Meeting and greeting families and friends for weeks and days of this month celebrating yet forgetting why all of this is done.
Let’s make Christmas more like Christmas. Concentrate on what this season is all about. Focus on unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, and The Prince of Peace. Let the joy in our voice ring out like the Hallelujah choir, Handel’s Messiah or Come let us Adore Him sung by a store front church where only five members in the choir sing. Joy to the World, Come All Ye Faithful or Silent Night not how big the group but the peace and joy that we feel and the presence of the anointing when each choir sings.
Let’s make Christmas more like Christmas. What an awesome God we serve. He deserves our admiration and our praise. Let’s make Christmas more like Christmas.
Jesus you are the center of my joy.

The Christmas Depression

The Christmas Depression

The month of December is a time of frenetic activity. We have neared the end of the year. I don’t know what you have been through but most of us have been through something but the key phrase is “you went through”. You may still have a little residue of your challenge on your person but because you got over you know that God has been good.
This is the time of year when we use to say Christmas time. We would say it feels Christmassy. Now we say it is the Holidays. This is the time of year when we should be saying thank you for Jesus. Thank you God for all you have done for me and all you have done for mine. Instead we are focusing our attentions on ourselves. We eat, drink and participate in all kinds of bacchanalia in an attempt to be merry. We indulge our whims, feed our faces, gratify our senses and delight our flesh.

With all of this merriment going on for some it is a time of isolation and an increase in feelings of depression. Statistics indicate that there is a greater incidence of suicide during this Holiday time of year than at any other time. Young people are taking their lives and the lives of others more at this time of year than at any other time. There are masses of worried, confused, unhappy people suffering from depression, not because it is Christmas but because they are unhappy with their lives.
People are trying but they can’t figure a way out and don’t know which way to go. So People both young and old look for the high wherever it may be found because they don’t like the person who looks back at them from the mirror. With all of their personal aggravation and irritation they vent their frustrations on others. So who do they blame? Anyone that they can blame except the person who should be blamed…themselves.

Are you trying to find relief, searching, exploring, but looking in all the wrong places. Today I came to tell you that this is a time of hope. Look to the hills, Be anxious for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Keep your mind stayed on Jesus.

In His Presence

In His Presence
The word of God says in Deu 29:5 that as the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness their clothes grew with their bodies and their shoes grew with their feet. In other words the same shoes that a 2-year-old baby wore out of Egypt were the same shoes that he had on his feet when he was 42 years old and crossing over the Jordan River and going into the promised land. God gave them food to eat and water to drink. Jehovah Jireh***

God gave them miracle oversight and direction. During the forty years in the wilderness God constantly interacted with them. There were many miracles, open manifestations that God was always there with them.

Exodus 13:21 And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night:

When Israelites were led by the Divine wisdom of God they knew that He was there because they saw the physical evidence of His presence. He gave them signs to let them know that He had not left them. He led the children of Israel through the wilderness with fire by night and clouds by day. Direction was not the only reason for the fire and clouds. God had compassion for their anxiety. The fire and clouds was visible evidence of the presence of God. It was reassurance that they were not alone. He was letting them know that He there with them. He was saying I haven’t left you and I haven’t forsaken you. He was saying I will supply all of your needs. I will not let the enemy triumph over you. I will be there to help you in a time of trouble.

We can tell from their actions, the murmurs, the rebellion and disobedience that the people of Israel got so desensitized to the presence of God that they did not even notice that God was there. Just like the Israelites as we travel along our journey we sometimes don’t notice or we take for granted that God is there. We become desensitized to the blessing and fail to recognize all of the ways that God cares for us or how many ways He supplies our daily needs.
Today, we have the power of God to guide us on this journey through this earth. God with us The Holy Spirit is the power of God on the inside of every believer. The Holy Spirit, God with us, will be with the believer forever. The comforter works for you and with you. We cannot see Him with our physical eyes: but by faith. We know that He is there and daily we see manifestations of His presence.

It is good to be near God to declare His works and to dwell in His presence. Give Him Praise!

Ready to be Blessed

Ready to be Blessed

We have just one more month and then we will be crossing over into a brand new year. This year may have been truly a year of the trials but it has also been a year of triumphs. We know that we were victors and God favors us because we have endured and are making it to the end. By the grace of God, the power of deliverance and hope against hope we are at the end and ready to crossover into another year. Our arrival here is not because we were so good, we were so strong, or because we are so wise but out arrival here and we have come this far by the grace of God.

In Gen 12:7 when God promised Abraham that He would bless and multiply his seed. Abraham built an altar. That altar was a symbol of covenant and promise. It didn’t mean freedom from trial but it was a reminder that he served an on time God who would always keep His promise.

Genesis 15:13 God told Abraham that his seed would dwell in a strange land and that they would be afflicted for four hundred years. Many years had passed when the children of Israel became slaves and were afflicted in Egypt. Exodus 12:41 the word of God says at the end of the four hundred and thirty years all of the children of Israel left the land of Egypt. And just as God had promised when the children were ready to be blessed Jos 3:17 says that the people crossed over the Jordan River on dry ground and possessed the Promised Land.

Many trials and tribulations had already come and had been overcome when Finally* the children of Israel were ready to crossover into the promised land. Just like Joshua told the children of Israel how to be successful in the new land I am saying how to be successful in a new year. The word of God says in Joshua 1:7 live according to the word of God. Don’t turn from it to the right hand or to the left hand. Don’t try to make the word suitable to your style of living but make your lifestyle suitable to the word.

I want you to know that the fate of a child of God does not lie in the hands of man. What God promises He is able to bring to pass. When you are ready to crossover into your blessing you will be blessed.

Get Prepared

Get Prepared

I want to talk to you about being prepared. During one week I lost two family members who were dear to my heart. It has been hard for me and I will miss them but I know they are gone to a better place. Know that death is final. It is not like they went on vacation and will be returning in a week. There won’t be any more long phone calls where we talk about everything from how is the family to the latest current events. They are gone from this earth never to return to earth as we know it now. Just as I do they both loved the Lord and I know that I will see them again as the word of God has promised. But know this, if Jesus tarries we will all go that way one day.

1Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:1Th 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

On the day that we were born we began a trek back to our permanent home. The word of God says that our days here are numbered. When those days expire we may request more time as Hezekiah did but I don’t know anyone who got an extension. We have to live in readiness for “that day”.

Let your greatest ambition be to live to See God’s face. Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that God raised Jesus from the grave. Began to live a victorious life through the word of God. One day you will see God’s face!!!

Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Cross Logos

Each day is a new challenge but you have come too far to quit. The enemy will send a strong delusion to cause you to believe he won and you have failed. In the natural things may not seem that they are going your way but there is no failure when you are in Christ. All things are working together for your good. It may not look good it may not feel good but it is still working for your good.

2Co 2:14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. (KJV)

Do not fear what man can do to you but cast your cares upon the Lord because he cares for you. Jesus Christ the same yesterday today and forever. He took care of you yesterday He will take care of you today. If He took care of you today He will also be there tomorrow.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.(KJV)

The word of God says after you have done the will of God you will receive the promise. He didn’t say you might, He didn’t say it could happen He said that it would happen. If you are doing the will of God in due time it will happen. In due time the promises must manifest. His promises are yes and amen.

Hebrews 10:35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward. (KJV)

Abraham had been through many things, the good and the bad but the word of God says that when Abraham was old he had been blessed in every area of his life. No good thing had been withheld from him. This is not just Abraham’s story it is an example of what God will do for His people. It is an example of what God will do for you. Make a faith confession claim for yourself “When I am old I will have the blessings of Abraham”. I will have been blessed in every area of my life. No good thing will be withheld from me.

Miracles are for Today

Miracles are for Today

Jesus was the good news, He was the gospel that was sent to the people. He was the anointed one. He was The Messiah, the Son of God and the power of the Holy Spirit was upon Him. The word of God says he went about doing good and performing all kinds of miracles and using various methodologies. Sometimes He just spoke and persons were healed and raised from the dead. He touched a leper and He was healed. He put clay on the eyes of a blind man and He was made to see. Simply speaking working under the power of the Holy Spirit He helped people, He showed power, He showed compassion, He showed love. He performed miracles. He was able to do these things because the power that was on Him was more powerful than the power that was on the devil to destroy. So He healed and delivered people from the grips of the devil.

ACT 10:38  How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

When the disciples walked with Jesus when He was on the earth they witnessed Him perform many miracles. He turned water into wine, He healed the sick, raised the dead, and brought sight to the blind.  Jesus told His disciples that anyone who has faith in Him could do the same things that He could do. He said that the works that He could do they would do and even greater because he was going to be with His father.

John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

It was prophesied and it came to pass Jesus was crucified on the cross. The cross was no victory for satan because the word of God says that Jesus mocked satan at the cross and made a public spectacle out of him. Jesus took captivity captive and set the captives free. He took on a glorified body, walked the earth for forty days then ascended to sit on the right hand side of His Father and assume the role of advocate for you and me.

Jesus was gone but in the name of Jesus Peter and John and the other disciples continued to show up in the colonnade. Therefore, the signs, wonders and miracles that Jesus performed did not cease for the miracle working power and the ability to do great deeds passed from Jesus to the church. In the church the power to perform a miracle still resides because God still divinely intervenes in human affairs. What I am saying is that there are occasions when God steps in over rides the natural with the supernatural and does something beyond intellectual or scientific comprehension so that somebody can be blessed.

In the name of Jesus miracles are still performed. God knows that today somebody needs a miracle. If you need a miracle ask in the name of Jesus.
