Take No Thought

Take No Thought

We are awed by the magnificence of God. Our thoughts of Him is not just how powerful He is but we are amazed by His love and kindness toward us. We ponder the mercy and the grace of God and think of His willingness to forgive us when we sin. But most of all we are astonished that a God with all His Might and Power is concerned about us.

We worry about things for which we should not even be concerned. In fact, worry is an illegal emotion for the believer. The word of God says be anxious for nothing. Your God has already taken care of all of the things that concern you. He said take no thought, don’t worry about what you are going to eat, what you are going to drink, how you will be clothed and if you delight yourself in the Lord he will also give you the desires of your heart.

Mat 6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?Mat 6:32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things

The apostle Peter tells us not to hold on to any of our cares but to give all of our cares to the Lord because he cares for us. If there is an inkling or a glimmer of doubt about what our God will do for you, all you have to do is ask. God can do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask and think. So instead of worrying about things we should give them to God and ask Him to take care of them for us.

Take no thought. Bundle up all things that are concerning you, big things and little things, the things that keep you up at night, the things that trouble your mind and cast them onto the Lord. Everything that you commit to Him He is able to keep. If you are still worrying ask yourself this question, “Can I do it better than God?” If your answer is “God can do it better than me,” hand it over to Him because he cares for you.
